Scrumptious Sandwiches at Angelina’s

By  |

Sandwiches. Who doesn’t like a hefty (or light), greasy (or not), bursting with cheesy (or vegetables), meat stuffed sandwich? I know I do. And this place has both – the healthier and the not-so-healthy, but scrumptious.

We walked here from my friend’s boyfriend’s place. With hangovers. On a cool, sunny, Sunday afternoon.

It. Hit. The. Spot.

Angelina’s Deli-Cafe sits in a quieter area of San Francisco (perfect for those of us with hangovers)- a more neighborly part, if you will.  Despite its low-key location, it’s a bustling place and shouldn’t be missed, sitting on the corner of California Street, amid tall apartments.  We were lucky to snatch a table outside.

I won’t go into too much detail about the sandwiches because, umm, just look at ’em. They were all phenomenal. They look as good as they taste. Take your pick!

The menu is long and sure to overwhelm the best of us, listing countless scrumptious (there’s that mouth-watering word again) sandwiches, and loads of salads, side dishes and savory sweets.

One of my friends is on Weight Watchers, so she opted for the healthier option (below).  The rest of us dug in, smothering our taste buds with delectable and savory flavors. When it comes to sandwiches, I don’t hold back and neither does Angelina’s. Life is too damn short to cut corners on a sandwich.
